  • "Excellent coaches, a first-class facility, thoughtful programming; what more can you say? A few things actually: not only will you get in the best shape of your life, but you’ll do so in a warm, friendly, supportive atmosphere. Indeed, CrossFit Insanity is as much a great place to workout as it is a fun place to hangout. Come check it out for yourself."

  • "CrossFit Insanity helping to kick my ass since March 2010. When I started training with the CFI coaches in March of 2010, I could barely do a few pull ups due to a previous shoulder injury from mountain biking. Last week, I completed 165 pull ups unassisted as part of a 20 minute work out. I have not had the same workout in over 9 months. Challenging my body in a different way every day has got me in the best shape of my life."

  • These workouts are intense! This is my third week into it and truly, it’s INSANE! I’m seeing a lot of change in my mood and body. Along with a strict diet, I have lost 7 pounds and gained a TON of energy! I’m waking up at 5 am, 2-3 times a week and lasting until the evening without any naps or fatigue in the afternoon. I’m more focused too which is crazy cause I’m usually all over the place. I love the fact that not only am I getting my sweat on, the trainers at CrossFit Insanity are working with me on my form, and endurance and not just strength and agility. Aaron, Dave, Mara and Shirley are always there rooting for you. You don’t have physically be in shape to start CrossFit Insanity. You just have to be THERE to get in shape. The people that come here for CrossFit are so great too! I enjoy the community and friendly competition we have in “the box” . I don’t know how this gym does it, but the gals and guys here just motivate me and make me feel like a part of something. There are bi-weekly runs on Sundays and events that we can all do as a team. You don’t get pampered here at CrossFit Insanity. You get results. If you put 110% into it, you get 110% back from the trainers and the workout. Its that simple. So, I guess, if you’re looking for motivation and willing to work hard for results, this box has it all!

  • "This is real bloody work and if you’re not ready for sacrifice then this isn’t for you. I decided to make some life changing decisions a few months back and one of them was to get my fitness right. I was coming off one the worst years in my young-ish life and I was in awful shape. Physically/Mentally I was done. I always talked about Crossfit but I never did anything about it until I came back to Orange County. As a designer/geek I never saw myself as athletic in any sort of way. This changed in the 8 weeks I’ve been training here. I’ve never lifted weights in my life. The most exercise I got was riding my bike and getting on the treadclimber at 24hr fitness. All useless because it was thoughtless routine. I need to make this shorter because in just the short amount of time I’ve been here I can write paragraphs of why you should get in here. 0 miles run = 1 mile run without stopping. 7 weeks. 0 weights lifted = 275 deadlift. 7 weeks. I don’t know how much weight I’ve dropped but its enough for my pants to start sagging on me There is no stopping now. I’m just going to keep getting better, stronger, and faster. So if you wanna make some changes then come through. You will meet some of the nicest and most helpful people around. No hangups here. Come get crazy with us"

  • I used to go to 24 Hour Fitness and do curls, sit-ups, this machine, that cable, that device and an X-CLASS here and there; I was basically working on my “glamour muscles”. My results were only skin-deep and unsatisfying. I had no strength or endurance. Yawning and unmotivated, I dragged myself in each time. I only knew of CrossFit by what I found online. One day I called CrossFit Insanity and was scheduled to come in the next day. I didn’t think I was ready to go in, but I knew making an excuse for myself would only be the beginning of many. I Came in, tried it, liked it, and signed up for “Essentials”. I don’t know if I was way out of shape, or if Dave just worked me out particularly hard — but I was so sore, I was walking like a penguin the next day… I’ve been working out here for 2 months now and haven’t made an excuse for myself since the first one that I didn’t make. To qualify my situation, I have two jobs: an 8-to-5 and a serving job at nights and weekends. Still, the hardest part of CrossFit is getting out of my bed at 530am, but I know once I’m standing, that I’ve already done the hardest part – the rest is easy. Once I’m inside, there are no decisions to make, no staring at machines thinking “what do I work on today?,” and definitely no yawning. Regardless of skill level, everyone has the same goal: to match the will within. The coaches help keep you on track when you get those moments of weakness. The routines are nothing less than explosive. I get to drive my trophy home every morning: my sweat-soaked shirt balled-up in the passenger seat. I now glance at the 7am runner -whose determination I used to envy – and think to myself “I’ll beat you to it”. In this short time, I’ve felt myself growing stronger from the inside, out. This is something I GET to do, not something I have to… a hobby, not a chore. I have a new perspective on what I see as “athletic” and it’s not an elliptical machine. In the end, my “glamour muscles” came through. I had forgotten I wanted those so bad.

  • About two years ago, you would have had to drag me kicking and screaming to the gym. Now, I am bummed on days I can’t make to my box. I competed in my first Crossfit competition last month and am signed up for two more in the coming months. There’s no way I would have made such a turnaround and come this far if it weren’t for the most amazing coaches! The Programming: When I first started training with Dave, I had never heard of crossfit. All I knew was that the workouts were fun and always different. I’ve been training with these guys for about a year and a half now (4-5 times a week), and other than benchmark workouts, I haven’t done the same workout twice. That’s pretty typical for Crossfit, but overall the programming is great and I’m always excited for the day’s WOD. The Coaches: The coaches push you to go as hard as you can go, and to get better every time. They encourage and motivate you to do things you are not as good at or don’t like as much, and they help you push your limits on the things you’re stronger at. Within three months I went from relying heavily on a band to do pull-ups to being in the top 5 girls with the most reps of unassisted pull-ups. I PR something every week. This is partly because I am getting better and stronger, but a lot of the credit goes to the coaches who give you guidance on form and technique, and tips and tricks to get that extra rep, pound, etc. These guys (and girl) are so good at what they do, they know what they are talking about, and they are passionate and enthusiastic about it too. They are all Crossfit certified, and constantly furthering their knowledge by going to certifications, trainings, and seminars. The Gym: The box itself is great too – all new equipment, super clean, and lots of space whether you are doing the WOD, working on your own thing, stretching, or just hanging out. The Intangibles: This box is its own community. If anyone finishes a WOD quickly, they’ll encourage and cheer for those still working. New members get a warm welcome and lots of encouragement from everyone. I have made so many friends here, which, for me, would never happen at any other kind of gym. If I take a day off or go to a different class time, the next day people ask where I was or what happened. These people become your friends and they hold you accountable, motivate, and inspire you. The coaches and athletes make this place what it is, and it wouldn’t be as awesome if it weren’t for such great people. If you are looking for a place where you can get in and get out without being noticed, this isn’t the place for you. But if you are looking for a place where you can meet some really great people, push your limits every day, and get in the best shape of your life, come check it out. You won’t regret it!!
